The next time you come to NYC, you have to go to a little booth on East 9th Street that does both takoyaki and okonomiyaki. The only seating is a couple of chairs outside, so go on a nice day when you can take your treats to the benches by St. Mark's Church a block away.

Not about churros, but I remembered the name of the Portland, Oregon donut place that has awesome apple fritters! It was called Annie's Donuts. I haven't been there in a really long time (more than 10 years. . . ), so I don't know if it's still good, but I hope if you go to Portland again, you'll give it a try.

I had a really great apple fritter in Ann Arbor at Dino's Deli and Donuts. I would highly recommend them (Kristin aka torakris had a cake donut, and she said it was really good, too).

Wow! What a great blog! I love how you focus on one thing and you've dedicated an entire blog to it! If I have any donut questions I'm coming to you first! I'm a food blogger in Vancouver and I'm lucky enough to have a friend that will bring one back for me... I was debating with the flavours and your blog has geared me in the right direction.

I tried the infamous Round Rock Texas sized donut in Austin, Texas and I wanted to know if these Voodoo doughnuts were a copy-cat since they also have "yeast-risen dough" AND their own version of the Texas sized donut... I'm curious to know which one is better. I loved Round Rock!
